PREPAY ED FEES - 2009 - 2010
Deadline is near for prepay discount for 2009-2010 ed fees. July 1 is the cut off day.

REASON # 17 THAT LUTHERAN ELEMENTARY EDUCATION IS IMPORTANT: Lutheran schools provide a supportive environment as well as a peer setting that reinforces the beliefs and values of Christian homes.

HOW DO WE LEARN FROM & WITH EACH OTHER? In God’s family, the church, stewards learn from and with one another. Talents, gifts, skills are discovered, developed and deployed in connection with others. St Peter writes that we have been given these gifts by God not merely for ourselves, but “for the common good” (1 Peter 4:10). That “common good” includes the “household of faith” but also looks beyond the present company of Christ’s followers into the world community in which we lives and serve (Gal 6:7-10). (Biblical Stewardship Principles,” page 9)

SCRIP Tuition Credit
A family tuition credit is offered to families who want to use the SCRIP program to help defray the cost of tuition. Starting now through June 30, 2009 for each SCRIP purchase, 50% of the earnings will be applied toward the family tuition cost for the 2009-2010 school year, 40% of the earnings goes to general expenses of the congregation and 10% of the earnings goes to missions. You could earn enough to offset your entire tuition. For the 2010-2011 school year SCRIP tuition credits may be earned between July 1, 2009 and May 31, 2010.
Family and friends may designate 50% of their SCRIP earnings to be applied to the account of a PLS student. Only one such designation can be made per family during the SCRIP year. School families may have up to three other families designate SCRIP proceeds to their family’s account. A family designation form must be on file with the SCRIP office before such designation will begin.
