Well done, good and faithful servant! – Matthew 25:23
+ FAREWELL AND GODSPEED +
Jeanine Jacobs
Jeanine is retiring after serving 43 years as Food Service Director of Peace Lutheran School. She has prepared school lunches for thousands of students dating back to 1969 and is known throughout the community as an excellent cook.
Jeanine began cooking at Tesch’s in
1957 and worked there for 16 years and an additional 15 years after it became Leffel’s. She also worked
5 years at Stimac’s and 4 years at Black Jack. For many years Jeanine would work during the day at Peace and the other establishments at night.
Jeanine is married to Lee Jacobs and they have five children: Roy Jacobs (Madison), Cindy Jensen (Birnamwood), Jim Jacobs (Mosinee), Sue Enstrom (Gunnison, CO), and Lorrie Jacobs (Madison).
“I enjoy making nutritious meals for the school children and watching them grow. A lot of the children come back and tell me how they miss the lunches. That tells me they enjoyed them also. I will miss them all. God bless each and everyone of them.”
When asked what her plans are after all these years of cooking... “to take it easy” is Jeanine’s reply. She also looks forward to more time for reading and crocheting. We give thanks to God for Jeanine’s dedication and service to her Lord and the children of Peace for so many years.
Troy Strobel
Troy has served as our Computer Tech for the past 11 years. He has installed and maintained our computers, servers, software, for both church and school as well as all A/V equipment. He often worked behind the scenes and troubleshot many tech issues.
Troy will miss working with the other Peace staff members. “They are very warm, caring, and Christ-
centered people who are dedicated to the students and congregation. They are also understanding and flexible, knowing that I had to work around my day –job schedule to accomplish my work at Peace.”
Troy looks forward to continuing to use his God-given talents at Wisconsin Kenworth where he recently accepted a promotion. “The world is changing and technology is only going to become a larger part of our everyday lives... yet, we should not become a slave to it.”
Linda Depies
Linda has served the last 5 years as our Administrative Manager overseeing our church & school office. She has provided a calm presence in an often busy work environment.
Linda is married to Terry and they have two married sons: Shawn (Heidi) and Kevin (Danielle).
“Being a part of the team serving the needs of the congregation and school including working with children has been very rewarding. The many friends I have made within the staff and parish community will always be treasured.”
Linda looks forward to spending more time with her family, including her first grandchild, as well as friends. “I look forward to where God will lead me in the future.”
